Spreading out communities from hubs to extents

I’ve been working through, as well as trying to figure out how to communicate, seeding a region with a hub community (ala a settlement) and then determining how that community spreads out from there: where it can spread to, how far it can spread, etc. (read more at the devlog)

This past weekend, and into this week, I’ve been going through and populating a hex region, from scratch.


I’m at the part of the process at which I’m fleshing out the sites and habitations that I generated. I decided to zoom into this area first:

Yesterday, on stream, I went through what I had so far and we managed to get another location roughed out:
